What is going on ?????

Now I am mad. Angry. Confused.
How can this happen? AGAIN! Once again, we are in the newspapers, frowned upon and questioning our beliefs. And they are right! Even our own people are questioning this and trying to figure it out.
Men have no business multi-tasking, or taking over their wives jobs when it comes to children. Yes, I am talking about the latest current events that has happened yesterday afternoon. Rachmana L’Tzan, the poor 7 month old baby boy just sitting in his car seat with blisters…hoping that someone would save him from the heat. Yes, he was saved from the heat…by the Ribono Shel Olam. He took him back to shamayim after a short visit on this planet. And it bothers me to no end.
I don’t know the full story. I just know what I read in the paper and take it with a grain of salt. Something has to be true, if the baby boy is no longer with us here. What I do know is that the father left his baby boy in the car. Alone. In the heat. To roast.
What is the father doing dropping off the baby at a babysitter? Why isn’t the wife doing it? I mean in most cases the mommy drops off the kids and then heads out. Why was the role switched? I mean of all things…to leave him in the car while he goes to learn Torah. What is the irony of that?
If this bothers me to no end, imagine what it does to those who are so desperately trying to have children and don’t have…and they hear this story? What about those who lost their child to a sickness and hear this? Anyone who hears this will feel for the parents, but you know what. I feel for the baby! I feel for all babies out there. I think Rabbanim need to step in and do something about this. This is NOT the first time. It has happened last year at least once, if not twice!
For all those men out there, be careful. When you are doing something that is not your norm for the day, be extra careful especially when dealing with children. NO MATTER what kind of pressure/stress you are under this is NO excuse whatsoever. I don’t care what has happened! We are talking about human life here.
With that I bid you a good shabbos and hope that all is well where you live…..
