Enough Enough Enough! Isn't it Enough Already??!!

Okay, so now I can hock about the latest contraversies. I don't get it. I don't get us anymore! Why do we Jews LOVE being in the news?! Don't we know how bad it is for us to keep having our issues bad mouthed all over the worldly news. Don't we know that the media will eat it up and turn everything upside down, just to portray us as the bad or wierd or crazy people? Have we not learned out lesson yet...we do have a history of this.
We know that no matter what we do, it will make the news. Again, the media loves to hear and publish all this. Whether it is CNN or NYTimes or what have you, 1010 WINS, they will find the news and broadcast it. Some will try to understand us, others will just portray us the Psycho!

A few weeks ago, the news was that Orthodox Jews were burning their wigs in Williamsburg. Woopeedoo. Does it have to be in the news? DO we really need to talk to reporters and have them cut and paste our comments to say what we didnt say, but yet it is a quote because after all, we did say it, but they just took out a few words to make it what they want it to prove. We just dont learn, do we?? Why does the world care what the Orthodox Jews are doing? Why does it need to be in the news and on the radio and have people trying to figure out religion, once again?

Today on the news as I was driving. Orthodox Jews in New York City are not drinking the tap water as it is deemed NOT KOSHER for drinking by some Rabbis. Okay. what the $%^&*(O is going on here. Any sane person would think that the Orthodox Jews have gone nuts and off the deep end. WATER not KOSHER?! I just do not get it. Yes, they might have things in it, but tell me, when was the last time you saw a bug crawling out of your spout in your sink? Tell me when the last time you drank a bug? Or the last time you actually looked at the "clean" NYC water?! What is going on here? Will someone please explain it to me? Will someone please explain why the Rabbi said NO INTERVIEWS and kept his door closed the whole time while they tried to interview him. Who is giving out this Psak?

What will be next in the news? Bad enough we ourselves try to cover up MAJOR issues that shouldnt be covered up...Like arresting a driver who has caused 45 girls to be seriously injured. Yes, he deserves to pay fo this..and it should not be paid off. Whould you really want such a driver on the road?? Speeding next to you? But you didnt hear abou that in the news. Why is that?
I just don't get the Orthodox community anymore.
I question it. and Question our authoritative figures. With so much kiruv going on now, did it ever occur to anyone that we might be losing Orthodox Jews to these issues???
