Why is This Here?
What are blogs? Why are they written? What does the writer intend when he/she writes a blog and hits the publish button? Does that person want people to read it? Are they using it as a diary and just need a place to vent and forget that there are lurkers?
I know some people use their blog to write about what frustrates them in life. They don't always have another avenue of where to go. They write their deepest secrets and let no one read them. Others use to write their feelings that are hard to say in person, so they write. While others just write about whatever, and it is place for them to be heard.
I have read different types of blogs. I have read those that hold secrets and wishes and desires. Where they yearn to be different. Where they just want a place where they dominate the topic. Where what they write is read and they feel important. Where they get to say things they cannot say in person, where they write to their heart contents and let others share with them the happiness and sorrows of that time.
But then there are some that people regret. They regret they put something in writing under their name. They forget that there are ways for others to read it, even when it is NOT meant for them to read. They forget that there are hackers out there who can find things and read a blog. And they might get hurt. Or a reader might get hurt. Then the blog becomes hurtful more so than a healing power. What do you do then? What happens when people over abuse a blogger and makes them regret what was written. Makes them go undercover or just take away the so needed outlet for them? Why is that done? Why are we so mean to people?
Why is there a need to destroy an outlet for people. Some like to write where everyone knows their name. Some like to write where no one knows who they are. Let them write the way they want. Why are we trying to figure them out and publicize and talk about it? How is possible that us humans like to destroy another human? Can't we just leave things alone? Is it that hard on us to let someone else be happy?
We enjoy reading blogs and see writters bloom. Leave us bloggers alone. Let us write to our hearts content. Add a comment here or there, but nothing that will make us regret what we have written. Sometimes it will be funny, others sad, another time it can be a secret. So use tact, and be careful!
Happy blogging and enjoy...
